The purpose of the Association for Research of Childhood Cancer (AROCC) grant awards is to provide funding for basic science and
clinical projects related to the goal of advancing knowledge in pediatric and adolescent cancers. AROCC provides support for multiple, one-year "seed type" grants (not to exceed $30,000) addressing basic science
and/or clinical research in areas directly or indirectly related to research issues in pediatric or adolescent cancer research.
All grants are peer reviewed by the Medical/Scientific Advisory Board.
Funding decisions are made by the AROCC Board based on the recommendations of the Medical/Scientific Advisory Board and the availability of funds in a granting period.
The Association for Research of Childhood Cancer does NOT provide funding for:
Travel
Photocopying
General office/clerical costs (i.e., books, journals, membership dues)
Institutional overhead
Personnel fringe benefits
It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain all appropriate administrative clearances, including, if necessary, Institutional
Review Board approval. Deadline for submission of a grant application is January 1st for awards to begin June 1st.
A complete report of research activities (Final Progress Report) including publications and other grants resulting from the work must
be submitted within three (3) months of grant ending or termination. Final progress reports should be sent to the AROCC Grant Coordinator, Diane Piacente (address on Format Instructions Page)
